Information Regarding Your Donation & TaxReceipts
Thank you very much for supporting our work! To ensure that your donation is correctly recognized for tax purposes, please note the following information:
1. Simplified Proof for Donations up to €300
For donations up to an amount of €300, the German tax office (Finanzamt) does not require a formal donation receipt. A "simplified proof of donation" is sufficient. This means:
Your bank statement or a printout of your online banking transaction serves as official proof.
Combined with our [Link/Reference to Tax Exemption Decree], this documentation is fully sufficient for your tax return.
2. Donation Receipts for Amounts over €300
For donation amounts exceeding €300, we will automatically send you a formal donation receipt (Zuwendungsbestätigung) by mail.
3. Important: Your Details in the "Purpose" Field
To allow us to issue a receipt or contact you if we have any questions, please include the following information in the payment reference / purpose (Verwendungszweck) of your transfer:
Your full address (Street, Postcode, City)
Optional: Your email address or phone number
