Vocational Training
Empowering the Next Generation
Education at the Farm of Hope doesn't end in the classroom. For our students aged 14 and older, we are developing a Training Workshop dedicated to practical, hands-on trades. Our goal is to ensure that every young person leaves our care with a marketable skill that allows them to support themselves and contribute to the Ghanaian economy.
Building a Trade, Building a Future
We offer a wide range of vocational paths, tailored to the needs of the local community and the talents of our students. Training opportunities include:
Construction & Craft: Bricklaying, Stonemasonry, Tiling, Painting, and Carpentry.
Technical Skills: Bicycle Mechanics and Floor Laying.
Creative & Service Trades: Tailoring, Shoemaking, Hairdressing, and Baking.
Sustainable Land Use: Professional Gardening and advanced Farming techniques.
From Training to Entrepreneurship
We don?t just teach a craft; we foster the spirit of entrepreneurship. Our program is designed to guide students through the entire journey of self-employment:
Skills Acquisition: Learning the trade under the guidance of skilled local instructors and international volunteers.
Business Foundations: Understanding the basics of managing a small shop or service.
