The Long Walk: Children as young as three often walk over 5 km multiple times a day to fetch water.

Physical Strain: Carrying 15?20 liters on their heads across swampy and stony terrain is exhausting and takes them away from school.

Health Risks: Without treated water, families face chronic shortages and waterborne diseases that claim the lives of millions of children globally each year.

In the absence of a public water utility connection, the Farm of Hope has developed a comprehensive, integrated water strategy to ensure long-term self-sufficiency and safety.

From Sourcing to Advanced Treatment

What began as a foundational system of dedicated on-site wells and sophisticated rainwater harvesting has now evolved into a robust infrastructure. We have successfully commissioned our own state-of-the-art water treatment facility, allowing us to manage the entire water lifecycle on-site.

To guarantee the health and safety of our residents, we maintain strict Quality Control protocols. By conducting regular laboratory testing, we ensure our water remains free of pathogens and contaminants. This proactive approach drastically reduces the risk of waterborne epidemics and provides our children with the clean, life-sustaining resources they deserve.
